You are responsible for reading and following the HipHugger instructions. Failure to do so can result in serious injury or death to your baby.

  1. The HipHugger is meant to assist you in supporting your child. It is NOT meant to carry your child exclusively. The child should always sit deep in the seat area (the "bucket") of the sling. NEVER attempt to carry the child in any other manner. When you are wearing it, keep one arm encircling the child's back at all times for support and balance.
  2. The HipHugger CANNOT be used before the child is able to sit up unassisted - usually around six months old.
  3. The HipHugger is NOT to be used once the child weighs more than thirty-five pounds.
  4. The HipHugger is NOT A CAR SEAT. In the event of an accident, the child would have no restraint and could be seriously injured or killed.
  5. The HipHugger is NOT to be used while participating in sports or any kind of strenuous activity.
  6. Before every use, make sure that the seams and fabric are in good condition. If there are worn areas of fabric, loose seams or other visible signs of structural weakness; do not continue to use the sling. In such condition, we can no longer assure the integrity of the product.
  7. NEVER adjust the fitting clip while the child is in the sling. Read the instructions carefully BEFORE you put the child in. Once you have adjusted the fit, put the child in and make sure that he is TOTALLY SECURE and WELL-SEATED before you head out.
  8. When you are finished, carefully remove the child from the HipHugger. Do not put a child into a crib or play area while still in the sling. A child could strangle or suffocate in the fabric if left unattended. Always keep the adjusting ring and pins in place. If you remove the ring or pins, keep them out of child's reach as they could pose a choking risk.
  9. When wearing the HipHugger, always be aware that YOU ARE WIDER THAN USUAL. Move carefully around doorways, sharp edges, objects that are hot and anything else that could hurt the child.
  10. The HipHugger is not a purse. It is NOT meant to hold anything but your child. Using it in any other way could interfere with its ability to work as intended.
  11. If you have any questions, please check the instructions or contact us at: info@thehiphugger.com
OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO KEEP YOU AND YOUR CHILD HAPPY, COMFORTABLE AND SAFE.
